Thigh lift
Why choose a thigh lift?
A thigh lift may be indicated for people who has excess skin on the inner thighs, caused by aging, weight loss, or as a result of previous liposuction.
What is a thigh lift?
The skin at the upper inner thigh is most prone to sagging. This can be the result of weight loss, but sometimes also occurs after liposuction in this area. In such cases, the sagging skin is removed in an elliptical shape, with the scar placed precisely within the groin crease, extending from the front to the back beneath the buttock. This procedure is known as an upper thigh lift.
When the skin sagging involves the entire thigh, as is often the case after significant weight loss, a more extensive correction is required. This involves removing skin through a vertical wedge, leaving a scar along the inner thigh, from the groin down to approximately the knee. This procedure is called an inner thigh lift.
Both techniques can be combined, resulting in a T-shaped scar.
