Pigment laser treatment

During the treatment, you may feel a slight tingling or warming sensation on the skin. Depending on the area being treated, this may be a brief, mild discomfort, but most patients experience little to no pain.

No numbing cream is required. Most people who have undergone the treatment describe it as feeling like a small rubber band snapping against the skin, followed by a warm sensation that lasts a few minutes.

A facial treatment typically takes about 20 minutes. Depending on the condition of the skin, one to three sessions may be needed to achieve a satisfactory result.

The first results of a pigment laser treatment are often visible within a few days to one week after the session.

Immediately after the treatment: The treated pigmentation spots may temporarily appear darker, and small scabs or slight swelling may occur. This is a normal part of the healing process.

After 1 to 2 weeks: The scabs usually fall off on their own, and the pigment visibly fades, resulting in a more even-looking skin tone.

Before the treatment, your skin should not be tanned. Therefore, avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanning products for at least 6 weeks prior to the treatment. After the treatment, it is also important to stay out of the sun for 6 weeks. If sun exposure cannot be avoided, always use a sunscreen with a minimum SPF of 30. For this reason, it is recommended to schedule this treatment outside of the summer months.

You may notice that the skin appears somewhat “dirty” for a few days after the treatment. For proper healing, it is important not to remove these scabs yourself, as they will naturally fall off on their own.
